I was super skeptical ordering a chair online but I wanted something that would support my achy body. I am so glad I did! I have MCAS and some other things going on. Ehlers Danlos possibly. Suffice it to say, I have to change positions frequently. Well this chair is incredibly comfortable. The seat is firm but not at all uncomfortable. It doesn't hurt my bum at all which is really saying something because I had many many layers of foam situated on my old chair. I will say though that the lower part of the back of this chair is a bit too firm for my liking and the lumbar pillow just felt awkward. I solved this by cutting a piece of 2" memory foam into a rectangle that is roughly 15 x 20. I put it in a pillow case and situated it in the lumbar area. The back is perfectly comfortable now. The arms of the chair are awesome. They do take a bit of force. You pull them towards the mid of the chair, to get them to lay flat and from there you can pull again to choose your angle. If you have arthritis in your hands or have really low strength this might be difficult to do. Doggo and bun buns are happy to have a perch--they come say hello. The foot rest is awesome because you can pull it close to the chair and sort of put the soles of your feet together there -- a great stretch. I am currently sitting with my back straight (the back is in the furthest position forward) and I have my legs out with the foot rest extended--I'm very comfortable. You can also sit cross legged in this chair, as the title suggests. I absolutely love how many positions I can put my body in while working. Definitely helps to keep pain at bay. I am very picky about fabric and I will say I love this fabric! It has a linen texture look and feel. I have the gray color. It is a fairly light shade and has the tiniest bit of blue in it. The gray color matches the natural silver aging of the barn wood that adorns my cottage door. Note that this chair is fairly large and will take up quite a bit of room. I'm just going to have to reorganize my space a bit to make it work because I love this chair. Also a note for those with MCAS or Chemical Sensitivity: it is off gassing just a bit. If you have a covered porch or garage you might let it air out for a few days before brining it in the house. I'm sure this mostly is due to the foam. Definately worth it from where I am sitting.... get it? Sitting. ;') Bottom line: Overall this chair is solidly built and very comfortable. Highly recommend.
