Went together quickly and easily and is very sturdy. You can sit on it when closed. It is weather proof and even here in rainy Oregon, my chair cushions inside stayed dry.

Generally well made. Easy to assemble with one exception. The bottom piece did not line up properly to pop the clips into place. After 10 minutes of frustration, I used a rubber mallet to pound each clip into place, in a clockwise direction. Otherwise I like this deck box much better than my old, warped deck box. It's more sturdy. The lid has a metal bar going the length of the front to prevent warping. The lid aligns with the base so you can insert a small lock if you need to secure it. Hopefully this lasts for years of fun in the sun.
