I am not black, but I recognize the need to keep my waist length hair healthy. This bonnet holds all my hair and stops the bed tangles and breakage on my pillow. I use a CPap Machine and the head gear if harsh on my hair. These bonnets stays in place and keep my hair safe and when I put oil treatments in my hair they keep it off the pillow cases. They wash up really nicely too.
