This is just as described, suuuuper soft almost has a furry feel, it has a thin rubber back so there is some slip resistance, but I have a really small apt. and it's just me, but if you have tile, lamented, or slippery wood floors then invest in some dble sided tape just to be safe especially for the homes with kids or seniors, I totally recommend knowing you get what you paid for, my rug is in blue and it totally looks exactly like the picture

The mat is as described. I actually got it for my older dog with arthritis. She likes to lay in the kitchen with us. There is a nice cushion to it and the colors were nice. Two things to note: it does move around a little, and when it first arrives there is a strong odor (I left it outside in the shade for a few days) which dissipates.
