I have had ceramic knives in the past and really liked them; however I learned quickly that they break easily. However, they were a lesser value knife than the ones I purchased recently through WalMart. So, far I am very happy with the ceramic knives. They are very sharp. I wash them by hand. (I live alone so do not use the dishwasher) After time, I will see how they hold up, but up to now, I am very happy with them.
