After purchase I became concerned about the alleged 3-year guarantee and authenticity of the watch. I could not find model SUP024 in the Seiko online catalog. The watch was returned because the Market Place seller informed me, after I questioned them, that the watch was not a current model but was in production between 2000 - 2010. I would not have purchased a 14 - 24-year-old watch! I would not have purchased a discontinued item, an overstock, or even new old stock, or a returned or refurbished item had I known it in advance. I contacted Seiko and Seiko informed me they guarantee their watches ONLY if sold through the Seiko website or sold by an authorized dealer. The watch I received had NO Seiko guarantee, NO warranty info and NO Seiko registration form. The watch might have been perfectly fine, but I was not willing to risk it, and I was very skeptical about the seller's responses to my concerns. I returned the watch at a Walmart store for a full refund and WM packaged and posted the return to the seller. Two stars only because of Walmart's return policy. Thank goodness for that!
