They say that they're safe to use on finished wood, but if you've previously used something that damaged that finish, that wood is no longer protected and these will further strip the varnish. We love Clorox in my house, with three kids as a solo mom having a container in each of the main rooms has been the biggest lifesaver since we're past baby wipes. They can easily open them, rip it off and close the container, they're huge and last forever. I was used to the other types where you need multiple wipes for just the table, these i get my table that seats 8, counters, stove, a sink area and it's always fresh.
