Both sides of the image sensor's sealing glass have an antireflective coating that reduces flaring, which commonly occurs when shooting in conditions that have snow, dust, or sand. The sensor's BSI design coupled with a f/2 maximum aperture ensure cleaner image quality at higher ISO values.
- Extend past the TG-7's 4x optical zoom with four macro shooting modes for capturing scenes up close. Select Microscope mode to capture images with an incredibly short minimum focusing distance of 0.39". To zoom up to 44x closer, switch to Microscope Control mode. Utilize Focus Stacking mode to merge multiple images and create one photo with great depth of field. Focus Bracketing allows you to capture up to 30 images at various focus points which can then be composited in post-production.
- Photograph and record video at depths as deep as 50 feet with generous features that simplify underwater shooting. As well as Underwater White Balance.
