Fairly easy to assemble, but came in a box that smelled like polypropylene, took a month of the chair sitting assembled in the garage before the smell finally went away. It's a nice chair, but it's definitely made for smaller people. As a 6ft 250lb man, it's not the most comfortable, but I could see my granny liking it.
