I needed something that would stay on my feet...I would walk out of my slides and hurt myself. I'm 70 years old and have always had a hard time finding shoes to fit. Now in my old age my feet tend to swell. These are pretty loose but don't fall off. I wear a 7.5 wide so I got an 8. I wear them behind the built in toe grip and that's still pretty comfy. I have more confidence that I won''t slip out of them with the strap in the back; it isn't tight on my heel but grips when needed while walking. If you're like me, try them.
