I bought this for an out of the box use. i use medical wedge pillows sort of sandwiched together and resembles a couch cushion. i wanted something to keep them together snd to keep the from sliding. the strap across the bottom is perfect but it also works well without that strap. its like a little fitted sheet for my cushions. the waterproof is a bonus but not super necessary and i hope it repels stains and launders well. the fabric is luxurious to the touch and has a nice stretch which made it fit perfectly. very very satisfied.
