This item is lightweight = the materials are low grade quality. My assignment of "stars" reflects that the product is "good enough" to use daily, but I do not think it will hold up sustain non-breaking for much more than 1 year... this item meets my current requirements for picking up light items from the floor. If your requirements are for lifting substantial weighted items (4-5 pounds) from the floor or reaching and accessing such, do not purchase this item!

I'm about two months into back surgery recovery. I don't know what I would do without this tool. I actually have two and I'm probably gonna get another one. I still have to use a walker so I have to carry it with me at all times and that's a little difficult so I just assume have one in the kitchen one in the living room and one in the bedroom.
