This dresser works great as a makeup storage drawer/vanity add-on. I have mine with a mirror mounted over it and it looks quite nice with my perfumes and jewelry displayed on it. There are a few things I'd note about the dresser though: 1) It's a bit flimsy. As expected at this price point, it's not the most solid piece of furniture ever. The back is basically a piece of MDF thin enough to look like cardboard, as well at the bottoms of the drawers. This isn't a huge hang up for me since I'm only putting in relatively light items in mine, but something to keep in mind. 2) The drawers are deceiving-ly small. The front makes them look enormous but they're actually about half the size of the facade the drawer fronts provide. Again, small items for me so no big deal, but might not work for clothes or bulkier items. 3) The assembly is not the easiest. It took me about 2 hours to build it and I even put a piece in backwards and couldn't correct it. Maybe that's just me and my inability to build furniture correctly, and while the finished dresser is pretty structurally sound, it was a pain to get there. If you don't have power tools, GOOD LUCK. Honestly though, despite everything, it's still good for the price point. It had a few things to remember that may not necessarily be bad, but good to know.
