No the Blu Ray is not out yet... but let me give you some background here. I spoiled myself on the movie before I saw it. So I knew what I was getting into. I love it. This is not a 'horror' movie per se. It is creepy and weird, but what makes this film are the actors, the set and the complete atmosphere of it all. The use of CGI is very limited. The actors reactions of believability or unbelievable of the surrounding events around them were wonderful. There were a few 'huh'? moments... but over all, this is a movie to help get the family BACK together. It really is a creepy Christmas 'family' movie. Just wish the language was pulled back a bit, but you'll not really see much blood here. The jump scares are minimal too. This movie is done in the old style where what happens off screen is worse than seeing it. Plenty of 'what just happened'? moments all the while the house is decked in Christmas décor and Christmas tunes are played VERY well picked out throughout the movie as it progresses as well. The end song in the credits is also a treat (just wish they used a more experienced choir with better diction... but oh well...) it is still good. Don't let the ending fool you either, what the audience is seeing is not what we're lead to believe has really 'happened'... The ending has many boards in debate, and I believe in the 'good' ending. I'll just leave it at that without spoiling anything. This movie may not be for 'everybody'. I do NOT feel it is in the style of Gremlins, nor is this NOT a real horror movie. Cabin in the Woods is more a horror movie than Krampus is. The imagery is where this movie shines... enjoy the atmosphere and re-watch it every year, is my recommendation.
