Today, I will review the Almay Instant Glow Highlighter. I just recently started using highlighters so the following is a personal opinion only. Design Nice and sleek small enough to fit inside my makeup bag, looks similar to a lipstick. Application With the highlighter being designed similar to a lipstick application is very simple, run over your cheekbone, T-area and below your eyebrow lines, then blend to your likeness. Texture The texture feels creamy, light and breathable on my skin; I have not experienced any allergic reactions, acne or irritation. Outcome The Almay Instant Glow definitely makes a huge difference in my makeup, it adds a very beautiful and natural shimmer to my face. Final Thoughts This highlighter is perfect for weekends and special occasions and has become my number one go-to product. Highly recommended to friends and family.

As a busy, sometimes tired, working mom, I sometimes feel that I look exhausted and older when I look in the mirror or see photos of myself. I don't usually put a great deal of effort into my makeup regimen, and I've certainly never been into trends such as highlighting, contouring, or “strobing”. I decided to give Almay Instant Glow Highlighting Duo Soft Glow a try to see if it makes any difference in my overall look of tiredness, which seems to always be present lately. The instructions are simple and goof-proof, which helps, considering that I've never really used a product like this one before. This product has a different type of highlighters at each end: a solid “stick” highlighter and a liquid highlighter with a wand. The instructions say to sweep the solid highlighter along your cheekbones and down the bridge of your nose. You apply the liquid highlighter in dots above your eyebrows, on your cupid's bow, and between your lower lip and chin; and then you sweep it along your brow bones. Then you blend the highlighters in. I applied them over my usual makeup, and I did initially notice a little bit of a shimmer. I figured that the best test would be to take a photo in natural light, so I did. When I compare the photos of myself with my usual makeup routine and using the highlighting duo, I see a big difference. With the highlighting duo, I look much less tired and more “refreshed”. I'll definitely be using this product on a daily basis. It's the next best thing to a nap and a cup of coffee.
