Fresh cantaloupe

Fresh cantaloupe wasn't fully ripe when I received it in my order today, but, that is too be expected as this is March and it's not really cantaloupe season yet. I decided to not refrigerate mine and left it out on the counter. The heat and humidity in my home was enough to start the ripening process. I have had these before and once ripened they are very flavorful. Great for snacks or fruit salads. As an added bonus the seeds can be saved, dried and stored so that you can plant them and grow your own cantaloupe.

Due to being in a wheelchair I have my groceries delivered every week. Which I'm very thankful for. There have been mix up on products thru out the weeks. My problem is Fed Ex. If y'all pay extra for on time delivery as far as I'm concerned you're not getting what you pay for. They will never deliver to me on a Monday. I'm still waiting on a delivery from July 2nd.

Walmart cantaloupe was a bit overly ripe

I bought this fruit during my last Walmart grocery order. We had a quarter of this cantaloupe for an evening snack. When cutting into this fruit, found it a bit overly ripe, but we each ate a slice. I would suggest using the cantaloupe the same day you receive it.
