It pays to shop around.

Have heard of these hooks forever....they are famous, but for a long time, were impossible to find.Nobody in Manitoba had them or could get them. Then suddenly, WalMart had them, but by then, the season was over, so we shall have to wait a few more months to see if they live up to their reputation. A side note - Amazon also has them now, for nearly twice the price.

What You Need For Shallow Weed Beds

I grew up fishing these spoons in midwestern lakes for bass. Hang up less than spinnerbaits due to their smaller profile. For lots of bites, try a black 1/4 oz spoon with a black grub trailer (Z-Man grubs are great; last forever, and hold their position on the hook well). Work great for western Lm in weedy cover also. For pike, try a 1/2 oz silver spoon with a white trailer; then hang on tight!
