Effective

These are actually replacements for existing eclipse brand, blackout curtains. I originally bought two sets. I mistakenly bought four packages, but could only do two windows. Each package is one panel the attached picture shows what it looks like when you first put it up. I have yet to steam it and make it “pretty “ and straight. I recommend these curtains. I had my previous one for almost 7 years. They do block out light. In addition, I use a black out blinds in bedrooms but not the living room.

Good investment.

Made of polyester with an insulating layer inside, they are high-quality and thick enough to significantly block out light in the room where they are used; they also help lower indoor temperatures in the summer and provide some protection against outdoor temperatures in the winter.

Not for me, but might be for you!

It does function as it should in providing a total blackout of any light from the window but I personally don't like how thick and stiff it is. There's no “curtain” like flow to it. Almost like it's cardboard.
