Sky Valley Sambal Oelek Chili Paste 7 oz

This chili paste is pretty spicy in my opinion but if you don't use too much it really perks up many different foods. I use it on rice dishes, add a dash to ramen noodles, sometimes add just a touch to hamburger or hot dog for a little heat that is different from conventional pepper products like tabasco sauce. Try it! This product seems to be competitively priced and is cheaper at Walmart than at asian specialty grocery stores.

I like this sauce. It's versatile. It doesn't have to be use just for Asian food but I add it to marinara sauce, use it like an Italian deli hoagie spread, mix into dips for snacks, veggies, seafood, etc. It's not hot and doesn't have a definitive Asian profile. Definitely not Huy Fong but there are so many ways to make sambal oelek. Just go to SE Asia. Otherwise, it's a good item for the table.
