We had bought a Whynter 1.1 cu. ft. Energy Star Upright freezer years ago for my office. We liked it so much that we bought an extra freezer of a different brand for home but it stopped working several years after purchase. As the older Whynter office freezer continues to work so well , we decided to replace the home miniature freezer only with a duplicate Whynter freezer.

It took about a week or two before I could see that it really did work :) I guess I needed to give it time and add enough stuff. It's nice and quiet and running great! I liked the price and that it was delivered to my door. Very light weight. I haven't used the key yet but I bet it works fine. It is a nice touch. It is pretty small but it still fits a lot inside. You need to understand a lot of reviews are made under stress and poor experiences or higher expectations. Just go with your gut, do research and be open minded and open armed, you just might not be disappointed. Not always :)
