I am so pleased with this safety gate....great product. I wanted this safety gate for when my grandchildren come over to visit. The first thing I noticed about the gate was how sturdy and substantial it was. It is a heavy iron, matte black finish, with pretty wood detail. It is nothing like those cheap looking wood and plastic net gates. This looks beautiful when it's set up! I first put it up in the hallway....fantastic! So easy to set up, it only took about 4 minutes to put together and set up. I liked how it comes with extra extensions for a wider space. My hallway is 43 1/2" wide. I used both extensions. It was so easy to adjust! I love how easy it is to open and close the gate, and appreciate the lock safety feature. This is such a convenient way of keeping the children out of the back of the house so I can keep them within eyes reach. Looks so good, I am going to just keep it up! I then had a idea of setting it up in the patio entry. As it happens, the opening is 43 3/4" and fit perfectly. Now when I am out gardening in the front, I know the kids and dogs are safely secured inside the patio area playing. I am going to purchase another for the patio area. It is so pretty and well built, I plan on keeping it set up there all the time. This is a beautiful product and I know it will last for years! I am so happy I chose this product.
