Klipsch RP-1600SW Reference Premiere 16" Subwoofer

This subwoofer had strong reviews on audiophile sites and was available at a nice discount during Black Friday/Cyber Monday so I decided to take the plunge after confirming I had enough room to house this beast. The narrower side of the shipping box is 30" wide so you'll need to confirm you have enough width to move it to your chosen location. The unpacking experience is tricky, the sub is upside down within the shipping box and you need to flip the box to get the sub right side up on its foam supports. The box slides fairly easily on both carpet and hard surfaces so I recommend leaving it in the box as long as possible. Once it is freestanding it is difficult to move without tools. I used a set of 4 furniture rollers near each corner and was able to push it on carpet by myself with moderate effort. I recommended leaving the subwoofer up on the rollers until you are completely satisfied with its placement in the room. The reward for all the unpacking/moving labor is amazing bass that turns music into a visceral experience that can't be described in words. I'm very happy with this subwoofer and I sorely miss it when listening to music in other locations.

really adds a punch and is great for low bass and does a great job of reproducing low end. I listen to mostly music and just makes sound stand out a bit more.
