Nice sized TV with excellent picture and sound

So I went with the 48inch version to replace an ageing 43inch LG LED TV. TV was well protected in the box, a little fiddly to get out however no great drama. Setup was okay, not 100% smooth, however seemed logical The latest version of WebOS takes come getting used to compared to the version on the six year old LG. Picture quality is stunning, both clear an crisp. Now for the negative: Pixel Cleaning! Right out of the box my TV showed vertical lines/shadows on both sides that were visible on all images, however a quick google and following manual activation of "Pixel Cleaning" those lines disappeared. Considering the cost of this TV could LG have not performed a pixel clean in the factory, or forced the OS to perform a pixel clean on first start-up to make the customers first impressions 100% perfect?
