This UV ray protective shirt has helped to keep my daughter cool and protected from the sun soo many times already. We camp and fish a lot and this has become a staple to bring with us. She is fair skinned and really burns way too easily. This shirt has helped a lot. It is made of nice lightweight material but it is also very durable and stretchy. Very nicely made compared to other ones I personally have owned for myself. This one is UPV 50 which totally outshines others, because 30 used to be superior and here comes this 50. The sizing is great and fits well. I have washed it a few times and I have not had any issues. It has not shrunk or become distorted at all. Going to buy some for the other kids.

Have been using UPF swimwear and shirts on my 7 year old granddaughter since she was an infant. Living in North Carolina and making frequent beach trips - in NC as well as Florida - this has been a necessity. She has never suffered a sun burn and we are diligent to keep it that way as long as possible. This shirt works well over her swimsuit for extended exposure in the sun. Still use plenty of sunblock but sometimes you need to go the extra mile. Sized up in this and am glad I did. While not too loose it allows to wear over her swimsuit. Does not weigh her down when wet and dries pretty quickly when out of the water. Also doesn't seem to make her feel to "hot" but seems to breath pretty well. Nice color and cold water wash and hang do dry and we have had no fading or shrinking. Have only been using about two weeks but so far so good. She is on swim team this year so it is great to slip on when she wants to stay additional time at the pool after practice - so she is getting a LOT OF SUN!! Recommend this garment for water as well as land use -- nice that it works both ways.
