I purchased this item because I had two nylon travel bags that I enjoyed using. The last time I used these bags, the handles literally began to shred away. I thought of how I would replace these handles when I can across this item. The handles were replaced with ease. I sewed the handles on but could have easily tied the bands onto the large hoops in the bags. Although the material does fray, I put fray check on the ends so fraying would not occur. This was an easy, affordable solution. Now I can use my bags again looking stylish as I go along.
