When putting the chairs and bench together you must pay close attention the the direction of the support bars. There is an angle to them on each end. It is noted in the instructions but it would be helpful if there was a direction indicator on the support bars. If they are installed incorrectly the back rest won't fit. It would also be helpful to put a direction sticker on the seats to show which part goes in back. I like this set a lot! I love the black and wood design. It is a sturdy set up. I would highly recommend this item.
