Assembly was very easy for the chairs. The directions were somewhat simple to follow except for the table. That was a tad bit confusing at first. Overall it took about an hour to put everything together. It's perfect for a small apartment. Fits perfectly in my place. One thing I would change is that the chairs don't fit completely pushed in when not in use. Otherwise great table. I'd recommend coasters and placemats to keep the table top from getting wet
