It is pretty sturdy but I only gave it 4 stars for sturdiness because I don't think it'll hold my weight very well if I sat on it. But I didn't purchase it to be a bench. There is a decent amount of storage space inside. I am happy with this product and I will probably purchase a couple more for other uses around my yard.

Great value for the price. Certainly not going to last for a decade but it is remarkably sturdy for what it is and works perfectly to hold our spare propane tank on the deck so it isn't out in the weather. Nice that it doubles as a seat and is a very sturdy seat.
