they do stay dark

I bought 3 different Dickies pants for work in a hardware store, the classic 5-pocket, the black denim jean 5-pocket, and the stay dark. All three have been worn equally over the past year and I still wear all 3. When it came time to order another pair i got the stay dark because they do stay dark as my other 2 pairs are showing age (normal age) and I like the lighter weight over the jean pant. But, as others have said order the waist 1 size larger. Wish the legs weren't so large from knee down, I have a hem run down the leg to take away the baggy look.

Perfect for work

Bought these for work at the fire department. They do well for looking nice to go into people's homes or for public education events, and hold up when working on trucks or stuff around the station. I prefer these with the jeans type front and back pockets over the slash cut type pockets on the other dickies pants. I've had a pair for over a year now that have not faded and still look great, and I just bought a few more pairs. These are my go to pants. I wear 36 in most pants but I get these in a 38, the 36 is tight where most 36 aren't on me. Also I get 34 lengths on my jeans, but the 34 on these is really long, I should have got 32s. Kind of weird but not a huge deal.

Great for people in the automotive industry

My husband works at an automotive store and comes in contact with battery acid and things that were burning holes into all of his work pants. These pants are so durable! We have had no issues with holes after wearing for 2 weeks and I am so pleased! The fit wasn't quite right so I ended up ordering another pair in the slim fit and they're even better.
