PENN Battle® Spinning Combo Fishing Kit, 7' Medium, 4000 Size Reel

Penn battle a proven fishing combo Penn has been making reels and rods for a very long time and as a boat captain and fishermen I can say this ways a great deal and opportunity to own a Penn combo . This is not a lower end model it's actually been around a while and works fine . The reels is smooth and handle is good fill in the hand this combo came with an extra spool and also a reel cover . Like any fishing equipment always rinse with fresh water after using in salt and oil when needed and it will last for many years to come . I own top of the line down to mid stream reels and it does the job . The rod has titanium eyes which are very smooth and cast very well and also are very durable in harsh conditions . I purchased 4 just to have when taking people fishing. Sometimes they don't have equipment so this is a must for me . Give it a try and let me know. They came assembled and in a hard cardboard box which I thought was awesome so shipping was great.. I am hoping to see more like this in the future

First looked at other web sites to read the reviews. Most say that this is basic pro level. I switched to using braided line for fishing on a river. Casting is so much easier. Braided line means no more tangles and if it does, it untangles easily. More time doing what you want. Much less time futzing with sub par equipment. It is like a dream come true, smooth casting, no resistance retrieving, clearly feel the action on the line, almost no lure loss, and smooth mechanical performance. The nine foot pole is great to get a lure unstuck on a rock. It makes my old fishing setup a joke. The real questing is does it help catch more. With the option of rapid retrieval, smooth drag control, moderate stiff carbon fiber, better controlled casting and serious fun - yes it does. I haven't been skunked since I got this.
