this is the nicest overnight bag. it's very roomy, the zipper works well, the over the shoulder strap is strong along with the carry handles. the little pouch that comes with it can be used as a purse as it also comes with a strap. I like the bottom of the bag with the zipper as this is great for those extra necessities or a pair of sandals or a few small toys or in my case a place to carry yarn . it's a quilted material but has what feels like a waterproof lining. the outer pocket isn't deep, maybe for keys or something small. to give you an idea, I'm a large woman and fit 2 pants and tops and jammies and under garments along with the small purse that held my toothbrush toothpaste etc in it and still was able to zipper it closed. i also used the bottom zipper part for a skein of yarn and my wip and crochet necessity pouch with room to spare. this indeed is a great bag and I feel it will last a long time.
