i-Blason Ares Purple Rugged Case for Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus (Galaxy-S21Plus-Ares-Purple)

Gave a 5 star rating because there is no 4.5 option. My first case went on my old, yet new at the time, Galaxy S9+. It is still on there getting abused by the grandkids as often as possible. The screen protector is coming loose at the edges a little, but still there after 3+ years. Enter my new S21+ 5G and the new case I purchased. I was a bit disappointed that it didn't come with a screen protector, but then thought back to all the times that I had to disassemble the old one multiple times to finish getting moisture out from under the protector that I didn't dry well or didn't notice at first. Thanks to covid I got in the habit of using Clorox wipes to clean my phone off after letting the grandkids run ragged with it for the weekend. I would always have to take all apart afterwards and dry the moisture that had gotten under the protector through the ear speaker open after using the wipe. This one doesn't have that issue since there is no screen cover. The way the front edges of the case rise above the screen makes me think it would take a direct hit on the screen to damage it. Just landing on the floor would be protected because the case doesn't give at all. A direct blow to the screen of my old one would damage the screen too, even with the protector because it is just a plastic sheet. I'm not crazy enough to test the stated drop protection height of 20'. Got the black case to go on my Phantom Silver device. Also got the purple one to go with my wife's Phantom Black device. Both look ruggedly fantastic.
