The future belongs to those who know where they belong. In the future, society is divided into five factions, each based on a specific human value: Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Amity (the peaceful), Erudite (the intelligent) and Dauntless (the brave). At a certain age, everyone must choose to either remain in their birth group or transfer to a new one, for a life away from family and friends. But when Tris Prior discovers she's “Divergent” and doesn't fit into any one faction, she'll begin a journey of self discovery and, with the help of a mysterious guy named “Four”, will uncover a conspiracy to eliminate all those like her.
