Not the best price available, but Walmart was the only retailer that had stock for my 8 smoke detectors that are due for replacing all of my current ones. This model is a replacement for my current USI-1209 hardwired / battery backup smoke detector. The mounting bracket for this model is different than the USI-1209 model, so some extra electrical work is necessary. Be sure to turn off the power to all of the old models before attempting to install the new.

I have used USI smoke detectors in the past and found them to be cost effective and standardized across their range of devices. They also offer more features per $ than competitive devices.

Very Satisfied

I just had it installed. My fire detectors are interconnected and there were no problems. I'm happy that this is has a built-in 10-year alkaline battery.
