Metabo HPT 18V Cordless Drill Driver Kit, 1/2-In, DS18DEX

I had owned a Hitachi 3x21 Sander, which served me well, but I didn't notice any Hitachi brand tools for sale for a long period of time. When I read a little of the history about the merging of the German company and The Hitachi Brand I decided to try the 18v Metabo HPT DS18 DEX drill driver. Came in the kit with the impact driver. I always bought the biggest drill available and usually drill 3/8” holes or less most of the time. It's my go to for most jobs because of the compact size. It has a metal chuck. You do have to make sure you tighten it or it will loosen the bit because of the brake slamming it when you let off the trigger. The anti kickback works but it's more like an overload stop. It will save your wrist. It's quieter than my other brand drill but not as quiet as I hoped. Don't really notice it when working with it though. I read that the lifetime warranty is only good for as long as the tool is made. If true it's a little deceiving but oh well. Only one of the brands I have covers the charger and the battery
