I have baseboard trim where I place my trash can. The trim caused my old wastebasket to have a gap between the wall and the wastebasket. This one has sloped sides which allows the top lip of the can to touch the wall, stopping things from slipping into the gap. It is translucent which makes it blend into the room better.
