My two Thermos brand SS can sleeves lost their vacuum after 15 to 20 years. They cost 4 times as much as this Walmart brand sleeve. The Bud tall 12oz cans slip in firmly without unscrewing the top ring on these white sleeves. You can tell the vacuum is working because it gets warm to your hand when you hold it. If it was just foam or air insulated, you would feel the cold of the can through the cover and it would stay cold to the touch. White is the best color to reflect away the heat of the sun but it will get dirty. The flat white paint will take paint or markings well if you want to decorate it or put names on it. The matching bottom cap is plastic which is OK, less slippery. If a tall can is hard to remove from this sleeve, just wet it before twisting and pulling.
