Let me start off by saying I am a bird and nature lover. This camera is perfect as when those pesky squirrels decide to stop by I can sound off the alarm or just say boo and they jump, ha ha.. So it is very fun to wait for a notification to pop up to see some amazing photos or watch live as a bird eats. The installation is a breeze with downloading an app, putting in an email and password to set up, then scan a QR code and in 5 minutes your are up and running smoothly, couldn't be easier. The construction of this is of good quality as it feels nice and sturdy and can tell this will last many years. I own just a regular Netvue camera and when the bird one came out I knew it would be good, but it exceeded my expectations. I really enjoy this camera and even decided to purchase 2 more for myself and 2 as presents. Now these work as good surveillance cameras as well, but with the bird food it brightens up my days. They are great !

Note that it can be triggered to take a video, and send you an alert for the same, by people walking by - so, think twice about installing it facing a busy sidewalk. Also, dad struggled some to connect it to his wifi - a techie friend did, too, but eventually figured it out. Takes surprisingly clear videos %26 AI seems to work well.

Bought three of these now for my parents and grandfather. Picture clarity is better than most of my ring cameras! You don't need to subscribe unless you want it to identify birds. Tempted to buy multiples to replace some of the ring cameras around my house they work so well and get the plus side of seeing birds lol. Easy to install and working in minutes.
