Brasso Metal Polish, for Brass, Copper, Stainless, Chrome, Aluminum, Pewter & Bronze, 8 Oz

I'm new to using Brasso and polishing brass, and I've learned that if a piece is heavily tarnished, it can take hours of elbow grease unless you're using a drill with a brush attachment or similar tool. Before starting, I found it helpful to soak the item in hot water for 15–20 minutes to help loosen buildup. Be sure to wear disposable gloves, as Brasso can be very drying and irritating to your skin. The smell also intensifies as the chemical reaction occurs, so work in a well-ventilated area. I applied a generous amount to the wet item, massaged it in, and let it sit for a bit. Then I used a magic eraser along with a microfiber cloth to gently rub and scrub the surface. This method left zero scratches. After many hours of working and reworking different areas, the results are beautiful. There may be more efficient methods or products out there, but if Brasso is all you have, you can absolutely achieve great results with some patience and persistence.
