They helped my recovery from edema.

The edema in my legs came from a steroid prescription and I am recovering from the gaining of 20 pounds of water in 5 days. Surprise!!! So I've bought 4X's, 3X's, and 2X's. The 2X's were strangling my ankles while the thigh part was falling down. So my legs are recovering unevenly next to the design of these stockings. But they have done what I needed, which is to give me back working legs.

Exactly what I needed at a good price.

I was given a drug that made my legs explode with edema. At my largest 4X worked fine. Then as I have been going down, 3X and 2X have paid for themselves. The fabric doesn't irritate my skin, while the top edge's rubber bumps did cause blisters. But the secret is to wear them inside out. Then the smoother elastic is on my skin without any rashes. It slips down as I got smaller, but that's better than the welts. The expensive stockings are too strong, and get very difficult to get on and to wear all day. I am getting better with gentle constant pressure, which is exactly what these support hose deliver.
