Per 9 year old nephew: very fun
My nine year old nephew has played Root with this expansion pack at a friend's house and is *very* excited about getting his own copy of Root (he does not know yet that he's also getting the expansion pack - that part is a surprise). I haven't opened the box, since it's a present, but the art on the box and the print quality is superb, and the little critters are adorable. Apparently there are some counterfeit copies rolling around, so keep an eye out for that, however, as you buy. I wish the box cost less, but paying artists and authors is a good thing, so there is that! :-)
