Test & passed. Recommended.

We have mostly migrated to the newer programmable radio technologies but Galaxy produces a solid product and this radio is no exception. The Galaxy DX94HP is a nice power compromise between the stout DX98VHP and the rest of the Galaxy product group. This radio passed all initial quality build checks unlike the DX99v2 we purchased a few months eatlier with numerous issues. On the bench the DX94HP passed the frequency and final output power checks. This radio draws a max of ~25A under full SSB transmission so for use a base station a 30A power supply is recommended. The internal meter tested satisfactory in all modes, S/PO/SWR. The radio has an internal cooling fan but if you plan to DX at full power with lengthy duty cycles I would suggest a small external cooling fan to dissipate heat from the case. Other tests were performed and the unit passed each. We can recommend the Galaxy DX94HP based upon our experience.

What a radio. Awesome Wal-Mart .com came through. Radio tuned up good.the features like build in service meter and variable talk back 100 watts sab and am. Echo kicks butt.
