Does not get very warm

My old full size electric blanket stopped working after many years, so we replaced it with the same brand with same kind of control. At first I thought it did not work because it did not feel warm at all. Then I did the fold test they recommend in the instructions and did feel some warmth. To date, though, it rarely feels warm. I contacted the seller about warrenty information and it has been a few days and still no reply.
