Klipsch Reference R-610F Floorstanding Speaker, Black, Pair

Was looking to improve on some pretty mediocre 20 year-old home theater in a box speakers as my front speakers in a 5.1 set up driven by a Pioneer 80w/ch AVR. So that wasn't very hard to do. I spent some good amount of time researching and Klipsch brand obviously was going to get some attention. Their speakers seem to be highly rated across the board. As with most things in life you're generally going to get what you pay for, and I was on a budget but wanted to maximize my bang for my buck. The speakers across the Klipsch reference series share a lot of components… but in my application, I'd need speaker stands for bookshelf. No way to get the 6.5 inch woofer and stands below 300 and the next tower with two of the 6.5 inch woofers is twice the price of these. The 610Fs got great reviews and I went in that direction, and have no regrets. They are as advertised, and fill in the low end admirably. Gone is the bass localization that was apparent with my previous speakers, along with significantly improved fullness and clarity. Very pleased with their performance and value.
