About this item

Product details

The Swanson Speedlite® 8 in. Speed® Square (Model T0119) is a lightweight carpenter square and rafter square molded from yellow high-impact polystyrene. It weighs about 4 oz. and works as 5 tools: try square, miter square, saw guide, line scriber and protractor. Use it for framing, roofing, siding, decks and stair layout. Hold the lip against a board to mark square and 45 degree lines, or to guide a circular saw. The degree scale marks angles from 0 to 90 degrees, and the common and hip/valley scales mark roof pitch for rafter cuts. All markings are molded into the square. The 1/8 in. scribe notches mark straight lines along a board, and the Diamond cutout marks seat cuts. The composite body has no aluminum to leave gray marks on vinyl siding, trim or painted surfaces. The 8 in. legs mark across wider boards than a 7 in. square, and the yellow color is easy to spot in a tool bag.

Composite, well made but could be easier to read.

I like that walmart had this in stock for next day delivery because I needed it right away. I couldn't find mine so this was nice they had one in stock. Its a composite made and very affordable. It could be easier to read my suggestion would be yellow with black lettering, go steelers! haha
