My Chihuahua Sugarbaby fits in it perfectly at 12lb, yes overweight. I hesitated getting a small but it fits n when he loses his 3 lb it will be perfect. this cross body is really comfortable for me too.

My 6 lb Papillon absolutely loves this sling carrier. She can be in it for an hour when we go shopping or even longer sometimes at the airport, and when I take her out she is more than willing to go right back in it again. She may not weigh much, but she does have fairly long legs for a tiny dog. She is not normally what I would call a purse puppy. She is world class agility bred, so having her be comfortable to hold still for that long is amazing! It is made out of high quality materials and the zipper stays secure with a Velcro tab. The adjustable cord closure at the neck is perfect to get it snug.
