Nana Scores Massive Brownie Points!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't believe how many pieces were in this LEGO set, it was massive. My grandson is a huge Super Mario fan and was overjoyed when he saw the Bowser's Airship Expansion set, ready for him to open. We had so much fun putting it together! It was lucky that he already had the LEGO Super Mario starter kit, so he could do interactions with his new LEGO set. I'm sure he'll have hours of fun and I'm certain his mum, dad and brother will also be playing as well. I would highly recommend this game for all kids of any age, especially if they already have the starter kit.

Challenging build but worth the effort

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set is awesome. The overall product is great, how it expands is brilliant. Mr 8 enjoyed building it, but it took a few weeks, 6 hours in total, with a little adult assistance. He loved the theme and couldn't wait to get Mario on it to work. This set is suitable for 8 yrs or older but younger builders may need help. We loved that you could build via the app and could see the blocks in 3D form and rotate them to have a good look at it. He really enjoyed the challenge of building something bigger than the usual kids kit. The good thing is its Lego, so it you make a mistake you can go back and fix it.

A great bonding experience!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I built this set with my 8 year old grandson. He was so excited to hear we were reviewing it and looked in the mail for it every day! He already knew the story behind the set, and had a lot to teach me! The number of pieces (over 1000) was daunting (for me, not him), but we soon got into it and were really chuffed to see it take shape. It's ideal for his age group, with a little adult help, and I'd say we talked more during the building of this set than we have over any other task! We didn't do it all in one sitting, as I only have him after school, but over the course of a week, it was completed, along with 2 very happy builders! I would definitely recommend this set for over 8's, with a little adult input. Great fun!!
