Gibson Home 16 Piece Square Melamine Dinnerware Set Plates, Bowls, & Cups, Mint

I injured my shoulder about 8 yrs ago (broke it in 7 places) and opted NOT to have surgery. Today I have a greater range of motion than the surgeon would guarantee, but I still find that when my arm is fully extended (like reaching into cabinets) I sometimes find things a bit heavier than I can safely manage. Heavy China plates are a good example . So I use this light weight plasticware now. I am SO glad to have found these. The difference in weight makes a really BIG difference. So easy to handle, totally unbreakable, microwave safe, and they usually last from 3 - 5 years (By then, someone has managed to carve their knife through their food so often that a new set is inevitably a necessity. I our house hubby is the 'carver'. I keep one plate just for me and three years later (on the first set) I still only have very light scratch marks, while the rest of them did not fare as well. And the look of them is amazing. Our guests are always surprised to discover that they are not fine china. For all of these reasons this is a win-win for me. I highly recommend these light-weight dishes, but I don't recommend that you wait until you break a bone to buy them. I wish I had been using these since I first started keeping house. They are truly amazing!
