I live in a ground floor apartment. My dryer vent is routed up and vents from the second floor. I noticed my brand new dryer was taking 2-3 cycles to dry. Investigated all the usual suspects and realized the dryer exhaust pipe was clogged beyond imagination! Couldn't find a long enough tool in big box stores so I ordered this. Cleaned the pipe on the first go! Used a leaf blower to blow out all the remaining dust and small pieces and WOW! It was coming out the vent in clumps! So glad because it was definitely a fire hazard and wasted so much electricity running multiple cycles. Knocked on my neighbors' door and did theirs too. They also said it took longer than normal to dry their laundry. Suggested to the office manager to do this complex wide to prevent any fires. The next week, we all got notices of maintenance on our dryer vent pipes being cleaned.

I cleaned a vertical duct that vented out through the roof, roughly about 15 feet, and this thing did a fantastic job at cleaning out all the lint that had accumulated over years. The brush pulled out all the stuff that was clogging up the duct, more than I could possibly have imagined.
