Great Battery Time

Got this new lawnmower to replace the old GreenWorksk I had previously. Battery technology has improved significantly since my last purchase. It used to require two batteries to mow the front lawn, and 6 to mow the back. Now it takes one battery to mow the front and the back. It also has all the features you would want, and some that you didn't know you needed.

Best lawnmower ever!

Was mowing with it just now until battery ran out so I'm taking a break to charge it. I am so pleased! No complaints whatsoever. Easy to assemble right out the box. Only 2 screws for handle, charge battery, push start button. hold levers and cranks right up. I have a Troy-Bilt gas push mower that I've been using, but I think it's on it's last leg. It's a rope pull start and the rope is so frayed, plus once you pull it, it won't wind back around motor, so if it doesn't start on first pull, then you’ve got to try to keep pulling a little bit at a time to see if it eventually winds back enough to pull again. Very aggravating so that's why I decided to purchase this Greenworks. I've purchased a Greenworks chainsaw and weed eater and love them both, so I decided to try out the lawn mower. I couldn't be happier. When mowing with Troy-Bilt, I'd mow until gas ran out, take a break, then fill back up and run again. It'd usually take 6 or 7 fill-ups to do the front yard. We live on 18 acres with big sloping front yard. Looks like I'll get the same job done with 3 charges of battery. Truthfully, I kept waiting for battery to give out at about the same place I'd run out of gas with other mower, but it kept going and kept going. I was ready for a break way before the battery gave out. I'd like another battery so I'd always have one charged. Looks like it's going to take longer to charge than a fill-up with gas, but that's OK because I'll still finish yard faster since this Greenworks is self-propelled and so much easier than pushing the gas one up the slope.

The mower is great. It works well. However, the battery needs to be recharged after about one hour of mowing. I need to have an additional battery so I can alternate batteries instead of having a down time of 45 minutes. Unfortunately, Walmart doesn't have this battery in stock.
